WebNative

Xinet® WebNative® is a server-based access to Xinet's workflow. WebNative provides access to system resources and offers viewing, searching, ordering, downloads, conversion and other functions through a standard Web browser.

No additional software is required, such as browser plug-ins, to use WebNative. The WebNative interface uses "Styles" which are written primarily in JavaScript and HTML. Xinet creates and distributes a set of Styles with WebNative and the product is designed to allow users to develop new fixes to achieve their own look-and-feel, through re-writes of existing styles. As an example we have developed our own product, called styleVenture.

WebNative also includes plug-ins for QuarkXPress and Adobe InDesign on the Macintosh platform, which provide previews and information about links to images in a, for Xinet, appropriate format. When queried WebNative will analyse and parse this information and displays it in a Web browser.

Xinet WebNative and Xinet WebNative Venture run on Sun, Apple, Microsoft, Linux and Silicon Graphics. Xinet will support SGI servers through May 2008.
